Happy Sunday, Round 2 Kickboxing community! We hope you’re taking a moment to recharge today, whether that means a leisurely coffee or a long walk.
As we get closer to throwing open the doors at Round 2, we’ve been talking a lot about the mental game of fitness. We all have that one exercise—the one we secretly love because of how strong it makes us feel, and that other exercise… the one that makes us question all our life choices (we’re looking at you, burpees).
There’s a beautiful duality in that feeling. It’s a battle between comfort and progress, and the moment you push past the dreaded exercise is the moment you build true discipline.
That brings us to one of our favorite simple truths about training:
“The hardest lift is the one you make with your finger to open the gym door.” – Anonymous
It’s true. Showing up is always the biggest victory. Once you’re here at Round 2, strapped into your new gloves and surrounded by high-energy music, the workout takes care of itself. Our instructors are here to make even those “least favorite” moves productive, safe, and maybe even a little fun!
Whether it’s the satisfying thud of a heavy bag you love, or the core-shaking plank you dread, embracing both is how you win.
Now, We Want to Hear From You!
We are building a community here, and that starts with knowing each other’s fitness personalities.
In the comments below, tell us:
- What is your absolute FAVORITE exercise? (The one you’d do forever if you could!)
- What is your least favorite exercise? (The one you secretly hope the coach forgets about!)
Let the confessionals begin! We can’t wait to meet you all soon and help you conquer those least favorite moves at Round 2 Kickboxing!
